In Russia today, Marfin Popular Bank ranks among the Top 200 of Russian lending institutions through the complete acquisition of Rosprombank (RPB) achieved in 2011. MPB's Russian subsidiary is focusing on corporate banking and SME lending. Rosprombank looks to pursue significant opportunities in cross-selling synergies by offering to its Russian corporate clients complementary off-shore and on-shore banking services.

Marfin Popular Bank is now seeking to recruit its Head of Legal in Russia.



ОПИСАНИЕ ВАКАНСИИ

The role is designed for a dynamic professional to who wants to build a long-term career as a key legal consultant to the Management Board of the Bank and a leader of a highly qualified and experienced team of legal experts.

The scope of position will request the succesfull candidate to posses strong knowledge of normative acts of the Central Bank of Russia
and experience in negotiating with other supervisory bodies (Federal Antimonopoly Service, Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, State Register..)
- To handle Corporate Law matters
- To ensure legal support of the Bank on a daily basis;
- To participate in preparation of amendments to the constituent documents of the Bank, getting approval and registration of the indicated documents with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and government authorities as well as other negotiations in respect of the Bank's activity
- To generate legal conclusions regarding the Bank's activity;
- To participate in development of standard forms of agreements (loan, collateral, cash and settlement services, day-to-day activities etc.)
- To fill claims on behalf of the Bank;
- To ensure the compliance to the current legislation, solving legal matters regarding the activity of the Bank according to the current legislation.
Analysis of the activity of the Bank and following generation of the required drafts of the documents falling within his/her competence



ИНТЕРЕСУЮЩИЙ НАС ПРОФИЛЬ

The suitable candidate should have:
- No less than 5 years experience as senior banking lawyer, deputy-head of legal or head of legal.
- A previous experience in similar positions i.e. head of legal in a financial services organization with specific focus on lending (including interbank), corporate support of the bank's activity, cash and settlement services
- Knowledge of civil, banking, consumer, labor, advertising, antimonopoly laws. Experience of negotiating with Federal Antimonopoly Service, Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service
- Strong social and emotional intelligence with a talent for building trust with client and colleagues
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strongly results oriented
- High self- management: goals setting, organization and time management
- Must reflect Group values: teamwork, integrity and respect for others
- Fluency in both Russian and English is imperative
